to get Your Underwear Drawer Organised.
A great place to start when wanting to get your wardrobe organised is your undies drawer! Your underwear is extremely important and because often we're the only ones who see it, sometime we don't give it as much attention as it deserves. Your underwear really is the underpinning of your whole wardrobe.
Set aside some 'ME" time and take a trash back to your room and go through your underwear drawer. Throw away anything:
- with the elastic starting to go and
- any that don't fit any more!
Next assess what you have left, Sort into categories that work for you - I do undies, g-strings, bra's and special occasion items. (I keep sports bra's with my work out gear)
Now is the perfect time to do a stock take of what you have and make a note of any items you may need to replace or any gaps in your underwear collection, i.e. a good strapless bra that doesn't cut off your circulation or have you worried it'll fall down every time you wear it is a must if you like strapless clothes! Over time our bodies sneakily change so it may be a good idea to get a bra fitting if your haven't had one for a while. A well fitting bra can give the girls some perk and change your whole look!!!
Now to our organising part - It's a good idea to put special occasion, or underwear that you may wear only occasionally, towards the back of your storage area.
Replace your everyday items in the easy to access area (i.e. towards the front of the drawer/basket/cupboard) and make them look pretty! Dividers or baskets work well to keep different items segregated, I have even used shoe boxes or gift boxes that i have on hand for an economical option and they've worked great too. The main idea is to make it easy to put things away and easy to access what you need on any given day.
Your underwear drawer is the perfect starting point if you are new to decluttering and organising and want to improve your wardrobe. You can accomplish a lot in a short period of time and it will be easier to find what you need when you're getting dressed in a hurry. Knowing that you can easily access well fitting "smalls" that are comfy and give you good support will not only help you look great but will definitely make you feel great as well.
